We had Nikki's party at the Farewell Bend Park. They don't do reservations so it was firts come firts serve. Tracy and I went up at 8:00 to decorate the pavillion. It proved to be harder than we thought. I almost killed myself hanging balloons while stepping on a ledge about 1 inch wide and I knelt in who know what but it was really sticky and very disgusting. Needless to say our decorations were kind of sad, it's a good thing the food made up for it.

Becky was generous enough to make cupcakes. We had planned on making them from scratch but we opted for the box at the last minute. I loved Nikki's 3 tiered cake.

We can also thank Becky for the personally hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries. Although, she didn't do her job, I didn't get them for free.
We had planned on doing a BBQ but again I changed my mind. Instead we had chicken salad sandwhiches, potato salad, and chips. It was good and less work them grilling.
I'm also quite proud of the little goodie bags that I made. I love photoshop!

You can't tell that I like color coordination can you? It didn't stop with the decorations. After I had made the invitations and everything, my mom and I looked for fabric for Nikki's b-day dress. Isn't it a perfect match?

She was actually quite modest with the cake

At first that is...

We had a blast and as you can see we got some great pics too. We Miss you and love you and wished you could have been there. She was thinking about her daddy the whole time!
i loooooove the invites... and nikki's whale spout hairstyle is to die for. i wear my hair like that sometimes too... ; )
